Intended use

Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) is a common pathogen of acute respiratory tractinfections, widely distributed globally, and can be contracted throughout the year, mostly in late winter and early spring. Most HMPV infections are mild and self-limiting, with clinical symptoms such as fever, cough, nasal congestion, runny nose, hoarseness, etc.,which gradually resolve in about a week. Severe lower respiratory tract infections are most common in young children and the elderly.
