Intended use
Fecal Occult Blood (FOB) Test (Colloidal Gold) is used for qualitative detection of hemoglobin in human feces at home for self-testing, or at all levels of medical institutions for testing, so as to provide auxiliary diagnosis for digestive tract haemorrhagic disease.
Test principle
This assay is a one-step lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. The test strip consists of: 1) a burgundy colored conjugate pad containing mouse anti-hHb antibodies conjugated with colloidal gold and 2) anitrocellulose membrane strip containing a Test line (T-line) and a Control line (C-line). The T-line is coated with anti-hHb antibodies, and the C-line is coated with goat anti-mouse IgG antibodies. When an adequate volume of test specimen is dispensed into the sample well of the device, the test specimen migrates by capillary action across the test strip. If the concentration of hHb in the specimen is at or above 50 ng/ ml, the T-line appears as a visible burgundy line. If the concentration of hHb in the specimen is below the detectable level, no T-line develops.

Test Procedure
Bring all materials and specimens to room temperature (4-30°C)
1.Specimen Collection
Randomly pierce the fecal specimen with the swab or stick at least 5 different sites and put into the fecal collection tubes with buffer.( 1. Fecal samples should be collected in clean and dry containers (nopreservatives or transport media).2.Urines should be avoided to collect in the containers.
2.Testing
( 1 ) Shake the fecal collection tube vigorously to ensure a good liquid suspension.
( 2 ) Remove the test cassette from the sealed foil pouch and place it on a flat surface.
( 3 ) Dispense 3 or 4 drops processed samples into the sample well on the test (S).
3.Test Results
Read the result within 10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes
